Chef Profile – Mecca Bah
Anuj Kamboj, who also goes by the name of AJ, has had a lifelong love for cooking. He found himself in the kitchen as just a young boy, experimenting with various recipes and inspired by his mother’s skills. His natural passion for cooking led him to Australia where he could hone his skills at a little café and later an established restaurant in Brisbane’s inner city.
Today AJ is the head chef at Mecca Bah, where he enjoys experimenting with Middle Eastern flavours and techniques.
AJ loves the dynamic environment that Mecca Bah fosters and it’s the fast-paced nature of his work that keeps him motivated and excited to work every day.
