Our Favourite ‘Girls Night Out’ Cocktails

When it comes to a night on the town, nothing says ‘let’s go girls’ like a perfectly curated cocktail menu. What’s even better? 10 of them in the same street.

With Oracle Boulevard’s premium selection of must-visit bars and restaurants – one stop could never be enough, so what could be better than a cocktail crawl on your next Girls Night Out?

From can’t-go-past classics to seasonal spins, mocktails, and venue exclusives – we’ve compiled a list of our favourite concoctions on offer all the way down the Boulevard. But don’t just take our word for it, gather your girls – it’s time to start sipping!

Mecca Bah

The moreish selection of Middle Eastern and Mediterranean fare at Mecca Bah is impossible to turn down, but it’s not the only thing that keeps us coming back for more. With a contagious vibe and a cocktail list to kill for, it’s no wonder it’s a firm favourite year-round. From cocktails to share (hello Mojito jug!) or a Carrie-approved Cosmo, they have you covered no matter what your flavour. Our pick? The Lychee Rose Martini – this Middle Eastern take on an old faithful has been a mainstay on their menu for years and never fails to impress.

Social Eating House + Bar

It’s hard to know where to start with this award-winning and innovative venue, but after celebrating its 10th anniversary with a gorgeous new revamp – it’s worth taking a step inside just for a look. Once there, you won’t want to leave without taking a peek at the inspired selection of exclusive cocktails. From Gin to Mezcal, they’ve got it all – but for cool autumn nights, we can’t go past a Fat Fashioned. A sweet spin on the classic Old Fashioned, it features a heart-warming mix of Gospel Rye Whiskey, coconut oil, maple, orange and chocolate bitters.

Orzo

Maybe it’s the Kardashians or maybe it’s the impending cold weather – but lately we have an Italian summer on our minds. Lucky then, that we have Orzo: the Portofino peephole our hearts (and stomachs) have been longing for. With a tightly held selection of cocktails that feature flavour combos you won’t find anywhere else – it’s the perfect place to Aperitivo in style. Our advice? Pair the sumptuous Carosello (Limoncello, Cointreau, cherry and lemon) with their naughty but oh-so-nice house made focaccia with ricotta and rosemary oil –  it’s elevated snacking at it’s very best.

The Lucky Squire

As a restaurant, brewhouse and microbrewery – you could be forgiven for thinking The Lucky Squire is a Beer-exclusive spot. But this cheeky watering hole has a penchant for upping the ante with its cocktail offerings. Whether you’re in the mood for an old faithful or a surprise new concoction inspired by James Squire himself, the entire menu is worth a taste, but it’s the Breakfast at Jimmy’s we go back for time and time again. A proud venue exclusive, it features Pampero Especial Rum, Cointreau, lime and orange marmalade for an unconventional yet soothing sipper.

The Cuban

With over 120 rums on the menu and an extensive cocktail list, you’re always in for a spirited time at The Cuban. This hub for authentic Spanish, South American, and Portuguese flavours is renowned for it’s line up of party-inspired refreshers – from the Hemingway Daiquiri to the Coco Margarita and the Tropicana Showgirl, festive is an understatement. When it comes to recommendations, we’re obviously big fans of the lot but we can’t say no to the Original Mojito – the traditional drink of Cuba and a well-practised specialty here.

Cowch

When it comes to Girls Night, we always love to finish the way we started – sweet and strong, and what could be sweeter than a dessert cocktail or mocktail at Cowch!

From chocolatey to fruity and sweet to sour – Cowch’s menu of dessert drinks is second-to-none. How you choose just one we’ll never know, but you can’t go wrong with a classic Affogato – hot coffee and vanilla ice cream topped with your choice of whisky, Baileys or Frangelico (or go for a non-alcoholic option). Or, if you’re dreaming of a winter getaway bring the fireplace to you with the Coco-Marsh Margarita – a cosy blend of Tequila, marshmallow liqueur, coconut, lime, and warm toasted marshmallows.
